Ravenna

The Port of Ravenna, managed by Italian Central North Adriatic Port Authority, is the only port in Emilia Romagna Region and has a very long history, that originates from the ancient Port of Classe, founded by the Roman Emperor Augustus, that today is an archaeological site.

The actual Port of Ravenna is born and developed himself from the port tradition of the ancient Port. This is testified by the cultural heritage that is possible to see when traversing the 14 km of the Candiano canal that constitutes the actual port, from the city centre to the port entrance.
